Then, before importing the library to Roon, you go to Settings>Library>Import settings and choose to whether you need Roon genres, your genres or both. I keep all this clean for genres I prefer, like Progressive Rock, Blues Rock, Greek music, etc. The best moment of doing so is while ripping. It is important that each listener indicates the main genre for each artist (at least the important, beloved ones) on all tracks of the artist. This is because Genres are inherantly subjective, there is not an objectively correct genre but you can modify Just to add my experience on this point: Genres are difficult, SongKong can add genres from Discogs, but by default it will only add if your files currently don’t have a genre.
